Welcome to the site for independent thinkers/voters.

Our purpose is to make this a truth oasis in these truth-thirsty political times.

Those of us who have created this website are independent voters ourselves.  A headcount reveals that we have voted for everyone from Ronald Reagan to Ross Perot, Bill Clinton to George Bush senior and George W. Bush.

A headcount, in the interest of being entirely candid, also reveals that a majority of us believe that there are a few important advantages to voting for the Democrat this time.

As you look through this site you’ll find a fairly thorough comparison of the two candidates, their backgrounds and proposals. Ultimately, each of us has issues that are more important to us than others. What affects us personally will determine how each of us votes.   We hope this site helps you to find clear answers to the issues that matter most to you.

We have tried to provide an accurate picture without making this site overly long. There is a lot of information, but you can scroll to the headings that spark your interest.

We cover Governor Palin in some depth for two reasons. First, she is a national newcomer and less well known, and given Senator McCain’s age, and health status, Governor Palin could in fact become President.

Here, doctors explain the status of Senator McCain’s health.

We’ve tried to make this fun, and to that end have included a few cartoons, quizzes and humorous videos, though most of our information is presented in a serious note.

One of the links that we’ve included is a neutral, fact-finding site that verifies, or refutes, each candidate’s claims.  We recommend using it to clear the political fog and learn the truth about any accusations you see on TV.

In pursuit of the truth, we have relied on news sources recognized to be objective, staying away from Fox (long time Republican Party advocates), Huffington Post and MSNBC (Democratic Party cheerleaders) for the most part.  Where we have included their information we have substantiated their reports.

Learn. Enjoy.  And by all means, vote.
